I ran again

and it hurts now

I ran the same route in exactly 21 minutes.

I have a rebounder now too and the Jason Vale rebounding workout dvd on the way so hopefully using these will help me build up some stamina.

*fingers crossed*

I didnt recognise myself

I already have 1 (well 2 if you count each version) picture from yesterday.

I LOVE them !!!!!

I cant thank Andrew and Helen enough, but shall attempt to in a longer blog post i have planned when i have all my pictures

Weigh Day is looming (well 2 weeks away)

and i am dreading it.

I only get weighed and measured when my trainer does it which is approx ever 6 sessions so these are always a big deal.

I have been beyond rubbish recently but my mood is starting to improve and with it my motivation to exercise and hopefully the motivation to eat well will soon improve too (after my huge birthday cake has been eaten)

If i have stayed the same i will be happy (though i am hoping to be able to fit in extra exercise in the next 2 weeks) but after that only losses will do.

This is what i got up to yesterday

was too tired to post last night, but this is what I looked liked after my shoot with applephoto yesterday.

we did 3 very very different looks and this was the last one - i can't wait to get the pictures so i can post them

Need for speed

I LOVE to run (I have just returned from my first run without my trainer since i cant even remember)

When I was younger I would run ( distance & speed) at every chance i got, but since leaving school i have done no running at all.

Until a few sessions ago when i went running ( well jog and walk) with my trainer and surprisingly (to me - I was dreading it) I still love it even though it's 100 times harder than i ever remember it

Because its something i will enjoy working at I have decided to make running a set distance within a set time one of my long term goals

To start with:

The distance is 1.4 miles ( nicely round my estate and the route i take with my trainer)
Time: 15 minutes which is approx 6mph which i believe is the human average jogging speed.

Ultimately i would like to get to 8mph ( average running speed) and then will start increasing the distance slowly.

I will post my times in the new box on the left so everyone can see how i am progressing

Wish me luck

This should be motivation enough - I hope

Spurred on by my 'lifecalc' application on my new IPOD i decided to take an in depth life expectancy questionnaire and found this one here to be the most informative as it has given me detailed feedback on how to improve.

These are my results, I have highlighted in bold the main change i could make and how drastic it could be

Your calculated age is: 81
You could live to 104.
How to add years to your life:
+ 0.5
By living near caring family you could add half a year to your life
+ 0.75
You noted that you manage your stress poorly. Do a significantly better job and you could add three quarters of a year to your life expectancy
+ 0.5
Cutting back on your hours at work, approaching, if you can, 40 or fewer hours, could add half a year to your longevity
+ 1.0
If it is ok with your doctor, taking an 81 mg aspirin every day improves your hear and brain health and could help you delay or escape a heart attack or stroke. It is best to take the aspirin every day rather than your occasional habit of taking aspirin. Taking an aspirin each day, perferably in the evening, could add another year to your life expectancy.
+ 0.5
Ultraviolet rays present in sunlight and tanning beds greatly increase your risk of skin cancer, including melanoma. They also increase wrinkles. It is good that you are already decreasing your sun exposure. Doing so consistently could add half a year to your life expectancy.
+ 1.0
There is a clear link between the inflammation of gum disease and heart disease. Do a good job of flossing daily and you could add a year to your life expectancy.
+ 10.0
Getting your weight down so that you are no longer overwieght could add an additional 10 years to your life expectancy

+ 4.0
The more you can get fast foods out of your diet the better. With your current consumption, removing fast oods from your diet could add 4 years to your life expectancy
+ 0.5
Osteoporosis (brittle bones) is a terrible disease that becomes more common with older age. Among the important ways to prevent osteoprosis, it is important to have adequate amounts of calcium in your diet. Add more dairy products to your diet or take 1500 mg of calcium a day. Doing so could add a half a year to your life expectancy.
+ 2.0
Changing your daily dietary intake so that you get to and maintain a healthy weight could add two years to your life expectancy
+ 0.5
Being in touch with your health care provider annually is very important to your strategy to screen for and prevent illness. Getting the appropriate blood tests on a regular basis could add a half a year
+ 1.5
Getting your blood pressure checked annually could add a year and a half to your life expectancy
+ 0.5
Getting your blood sugar checked could add half a year to your life expectancy

Todays Ramblings - Motivation

I have just had a sesssion with my personal trainer and loved it (I even nearly cancelled today as i was feelingso low this morning)

Why can i not motivate myself to do things during the week on my own - especially when i have a programme already written for me.

What motivates you to exercise??
Does it become habbit or is it always hard work??
Do you have a mantra or a piece of music that gets you fired up ??

In the search for the perfect...........Mineral Makeup

As well as searching for my perfect red, I am also really interested in trying to find a brand of mineral make up that I love.
In the past i have used Bare Escentuals but this is far tooooooo expensive to experiment with, and as thats what i am looking to do, especially with blush and eyeshadow ( as mineral doesnt aggrevate my eyes excessively).
So my aim is to find the perfect balance between price (inc shipping) , quality and colour range.

Any suggestions?

I have brought some LA Minerals which turned up today but I shall post about later once I have had a play

What are Sundays evenings for if its not messing around with makeup and your daughter???

picture experterly taken by Paige

I used a few of my new products to have a go at creating an 'alternative' look. Im not sure what I came up with was very different or original but its a start for me.

Purple eyshadow from Superdrugs Beautyuk eyeshadow collection no.2
Went on a bit blotchy (maybe application, maybe shadow) but all the colours in the collection are fab and will be used as eyeliner if nothing else.

Eyeko magic Liquid Eyeliner
Is so amazing will have its own post

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara
Fantastic and easy to apply, I am starting to become a maybelline convert

MAC pure pigment in basic red
I have strugled with this on my eyes but today I used it as a blusher and really liked it.

On a separate note- if anyone wants half a pot of this pigment message me or leave a comment

Opia eyeshadow dusts in black and bright pink (from Primark)
I was not expecting much but I was very pleasently surprised. I used this with the eyeko magic liquid eyeliner so see my next post for a picture. I shall be getting some more duo's if there are any

StarGazer fantasy lipgloss in Violet
I love it, fantastic consistency and colour. Shall be bying some more colours

Making accessories - Opinion???

Making jewellery has always been a hobby but now I would like to turn it into a way of making a bit of spare cash to spend on bits for shoots, including some hats im going to have a go at making.

Here are some of the bits I have made (apologies for awful photography).

What do you think??
Should I market these and if so how???

Comments, orders (everything is for sale here - these are bits I got carried away with and made without an occassion in mind) or custom orders all very very appreciated.

Bad start to the day

I woke up this morning determined to have breakfast - good
Got dressed in my new work dress and was horrified with the rolls you could see through in and i am not going to wear magic knickers all day to work as they can get really uncomfortable - bad
In a foul mood i go to the kitchen for breakfast and what do i grab at, the doughnuts i done such a good job of avoiding all day yesterday - super bad
So now i am off for a fun day of work in a bad mood, feeling guilty and bloated and with only yoghurt covered strawberries in my bag to try and makeup for this mornings set back.
Have a good day everyone

Mon 31 August - Diary

6 cups of tea with milk and sweetner
2 cans of Dr Pepper ( I do not drink fizzy normally but we had friends round yesterday and I felt left out)
Tumbler of cider and lemonade

No breakfast
Gammon roll for lunch (brown roll but with proper butter)
Pasta in a tomato sauce with chicken and cheese ( it was a prepacked bake with cheese already in it so i did not add any extra cheese)
4 small slices of garlic bread ( this is good for me, i could have eaten more)

I try to leave a little bit of food on my plate after every meal to retrain my brain that you can stop when your hungry and so far I am managing to leave food but its far harder than i would have imagined.

No real exercise *sob* but i did take my daughter to the park so we had a little walk and run around.

Not enough water.

Tomorrows goal : at least 5 cups of water at work
